With each release gaining greater notoriety than its predecessor, the duo released their fifth album 'Altered States' on 6th August 2022 with hopes to continue the trend. Altered States, a set of original songs which augment an Americana Folk and Country heart with complimentary genres did not disappoint and the track ‘Brilliant Jewel’ was voted ‘Best Song Collaboration of Spring 2022 by the World Songwriting Awards (WSA). Global radio airplay by now had become a regular occurrence with literally hundreds of plays throughout the world and the BBC would often feature tracks on their Upload show in the Kent area.

By April 2023 Chris and Neil had been nominated in the International Singer Songwriting Association Awards in three categories and achieved ‘Finalist’ status in the Best International Vocal Duo’ category.

July 2023 saw the release of their sixth album ‘Tales From The Great Lakes’ and the lead single from this album ‘City’s Got Soul’ quickly hit the number one spot in the European Indie Chart and number five in the World Indie Music Chart. Meanwhile, that old stalwart from ‘Eclipse’. ‘Monterey Bay’ muscled into the top twenty of the World Indie Music Chart reaching number 14.

With two live dates played in 2023 and more to come soon, Sun-Pinned Leaves continue to write and play their unique brand of Americana influenced Rock, Modern Country and Folk and we are sure a seventh album from these prolific songsmiths probably isn’t too far into the future.
